Updated DLF AIG MWG Tools Repository

This post was written by the Metadata Assessment Tools subgroup of the DLF Assessment Interest Group’s (AIG) Metadata Working Group (MWG). Learn more about the Assessment Interest Group.

The DLF AIG MWG Metadata Assessment Tools subgroup has re-launched the tools repository (https://dlfmetadataassessment.github.io/projects/tools/), a collection of data about metadata-related tools used by members of the community (https://dlfmetadataassessment.github.io/projects/tools/). The repository includes information related to tool usage and functionality, supported metadata standards, and links to documentation. The new repository also applies categories of metadata work (Creation, Editing, Validation, Transformation, Extraction/Embedding, Retrieval, and Analysis), which function as filters so that users can isolate tools that aid in a specific category of work.

Screenshot of the tools repository showing a search box and a drop-down menu with categories, and underneath a grid listing tools and information about each tool. The columns include tool title, abstract, category, and metadata standard(s).

Finally, the repository supports search so that users can search across the repository.

Do you know of tools that could be added or changes that should be made to the Tools Repository? The Tools Group wants to hear from you! Submit new tools or corrections through the Tools Submission form and the Tool Correction form
