This post is part of a series authored by DLF’s working group leaders to acquaint you with their work, and how you can get involved, leading up to the 2023 DLF Forum.
Though the annual Forum is DLF’s signature event, our working groups collaborate year round. DLF’s working groups organize across institutional and geographical boundaries to collaborate and get stuff done. Working group participation is open to anyone interested in getting involved, regardless of whether or not you work or study at a DLF member organization.
Attending the 2023 DLF Forum and interested in metadata? Don’t miss sessions W04 (Working with Open-Schema JSON in Archipelago) and W08 (Small Libraries, Big Impact: Scalable Solutions for Digital Collections Management and Workflow Optimization).
You are invited to join DLF’s Metadata Support Group on Slack! Often metadata specialists work solo or in small groups at their institutions, and the Metadata Support Group provides a welcoming community of practice for anyone with metadata conundrums. With channels devoted to workflows, project management, and tools, you will find a supportive community for your questions. The Metadata Support Group was formed during the 2016 DLF Forum, and we are always welcoming new members!
To join, visit our google form, read the community’s code of conduct, and request an invite to our Slack community: https://forms.gle/qfbABZfp6G2KybqL6
