Drexel University’s Oral History Program

Engineering_lock-up_informalThis update comes to us from Stacy Stanislaw at Drexel University Libraries.

Drexel University’s Hagerty Library features an enclosed sound booth and audio equipment, which users can reserve for recording and editing. History Department faculty used the booth to record oral history interviews related to Drexel’s 125th anniversary this year. University Archives staff uses the booth as part of an ongoing oral history program, through which alumni and faculty share their memories of life at Drexel. These interviews are being transcribed and will be made available online on iDEA, Drexel University Libraries’ digital repository.
