In the lead up to the 2012 DLF Forum in Denver, CO, we will be presenting short video interviews from the 2011 DLF Forum in Baltimore, MD, discussing the role DLF plays within the digital library community and the greater library world. The first video interview, above, is with Sayeed Choudhury, CLIR Senior Presidential Fellow, Associate Dean for Research Data Management at Johns Hopkins University, and Hodson Director of the Digital Research and Curation Center at the Sheridan Libraries of Johns Hopkins University.

November 4 – November 5, 2012

 

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: Friday, September 28, 2012.

The Digital Library Federation is pleased to announce our continuation of the DLF Forum Fellowships for Librarians New to the Profession. The purpose of the fellowships is to provide funding for new librarians, staff, and assistants, who are not always routinely funded to travel, to attend the 2012 DLF Forum, where they can learn more about the library profession, see digital initiatives from other institutions, and meet leaders in the profession.

The awards consist of up to $1,000 each to go towards the travel, board, and lodging expenses of attending the 2012 DLF Forum. Additionally, the fellows will each receive complimentary full registration to the Forum. For more information on eligibility and the application process, please see our Forum Fellows page.

The University of Michigan Digital Library Production Service is seeking an Assistant Librarian Video Content Management Specialist.

The University Library seeks a dynamic and innovative librarian to play a supporting role in the establishment of a new campus-wide video content management system (VCM), and to aid with the migration of content from the Library’s existing digital asset management system to the new system. This position is a two-year term appointment.

ORCID has two positions open: Lead Developer and Technical Support Specialist.
